GRP (fibreglass) is laid as a liquid resin over a matting layer and cures into one seamless, joint-free surface, which is what makes it one of the most waterproof flat roof systems available. There's no seams to fail and no felt edges to lift. The trade-off is that it only performs as well as the person laying it, a poorly prepared deck or rushed lay-up leads to cracking and delamination. We prepare the deck properly, apply the correct number of laminate layers, and finish with a UV-stable top coat so the roof doesn't degrade in the sun.

Properly laid with a UV-stable top coat, a GRP roof typically lasts 25 to 30 years with very little maintenance. Failures within that window are almost always down to poor deck preparation or an under-specified lay-up, not the material itself.
